Our introduction to yoga course will give you an insight to Ashtanga, Vinyasa & Yin, three distinctive styles of yoga. 

This beginners yoga course is perfect for those wanting to try out a range of styles to gain an overview of yoga and what a typical class may look and feel like.

Ideal for those who already have an existing yoga practice or those who are new to yoga and looking for a gentle introduction.

Ashtanga

A guided yoga session of the a modified Primary Series focusing on breath, alignment and focus.

Vinyasa

A Vinyasa session that explores transitioning from one position to the next through movement, use of breath and flow.

Yin

The ultimate way to slow down the body and fully give in to each position. A Yin class to stretch deeply to find release, relaxation and softness.

Why this Beginners Yoga Course in Cornwall?

Understanding each styles origins, key aims and fundamental positions, this yoga course will arm you with invaluable knowledge on the variety that the discipline of yoga has to offer. Perhaps helping to guide yourself towards a class that you find most engaging.

Each session will lead you through a discussion of either Ashtanga, Vinyasa or Yin. These points are then echoed throughout the guided practice reinforcing key elements bringing theory to life. All sessions ending in savasana and a debrief (with some tea!) to share experiences and questions.

At the end of the session you will be able to take a written session plan home to continue your practice at home.

This yoga course is open to anyone interested in yoga whether you are a complete newbie or perhaps thinking of taking your practice to the next level.

DO I NEED TO BRING A YOGA MAT?

All yoga mats are provided. However, you are more than welcome to bring your own mat if you wish.

WHERE IS YOUR YOGA STUDIO?

The Flow Dance & Yoga studio is at 7 Princes Street, Truro.

We are above Radmores of Truro.

During our evening classes, the jewellers and building will look very closed but I promise we are open! Just drop me a message when you are outside and I will come and let you in.

CAN BEGINNERS JOIN THIS COURSE?

This yoga course is perfect for beginners. A great way to trial out different styles of yoga to see which one you may fancy pursuing as a regular class.

CAN I JOIN JUST 1 SESSION OF THE COURSE?

Whilst we hope this course is a great way to explore different styles of yoga, we also hope that this yoga course serves as an opportunity to meet like-minded people. During the 3 weeks you will get to know one another and develop a positive and supportive group dynamic. So it’s for this reason that investment in this course is for the full 3 sessions.

Old Bridge car park is just a 2 minute walk from us.
